Rangamati, located 77 km. away from Chittagong, is a favorite holiday resort because of its beautiful landscape, lake, numerous colourful tribes, hanging bridge, homespun textile products, ivory jewellery, tribal museum and so on. For tourists the attractions are fishing, speedboat cruising, water skiing, bathing and much more. It is a rare spot for ecotourism.  Kaptai Lake- the lake town:

  pleasant and picturesque drive of 64 km. from Chittagong brings you to a huge expanse of emerald and blue water ringed by tropical forests. It is the famous man-made Kaptai Lake (680 sq. km.). From Kaptai along the Chittagong road, lies the ancient Chit Morang Buddhist temple having beautiful Buddhist statues.
